Installation Guide
How to Install Your DartsCave Backboard – Quick, Clean & Secure Wall Mounting
Easily install your DartsCave personalised darts backboard using our step-by-step guide. This installation method uses strong adhesive strips for a damage-free, drill-free setup — perfect for game rooms, man caves, or club venues. Learn how to fix your 2m x 1m Foamex board to the wall and mount your dartboard at the official height of 173cm. Designed for convenience, stability, and regulation play.

STEP 1: MARK THE BULLSEYE HEIGHT
Regulation height for a dartboard bullseye is 173cm (5ft 8in) from the floor.
Use a tape measure to mark this height on your wall — this is where the centre of your dartboard will go.

STEP 2: PREPARE THE SURFACES
Clean both the wall area and the back of your DartsCave board with a clean cloth or alcohol wipe to ensure a strong bond.
Avoid dusty, damp, or uneven walls.

STEP 3: APPLY THE ADHESIVE STRIPS
Use 6 to 10 pairs of heavy-duty adhesive strips (e.g. Command™ Large Picture Hanging Strips).
Stick them around the edges and centre of the back of the board.
Press together until they click, then remove the backing to expose the wall-facing side.

STEP 4: MOUNT THE BACKBOARD
Line up your backboard so the bullseye mark is centre of the board.
Use a spirit level to make sure it’s straight.
Press firmly against the wall and hold pressure for 30–60 seconds on each area where strips are applied.

STEP 5: MOUNT THE DARTBOARD (OPTIONAL DRILLING)
If your dartboard uses a central wall screw:
Drill a 6–8mm hole through the centre of the Foamex board (at your bullseye mark).
Insert a wall plug and screw.
Attach the dartboard mounting bracket, then hang your dartboard securely.
This step is optional — many dartboards use friction or bracket systems that don’t require a central fixing.

STEP 6: GAME ON!
Place your oche (throw line) 2.37m (7ft 9.25in) from the face of the dartboard.
You’re now ready to play on your officially-sized, club-branded DartsCave board!
